I drive a slilver 2003 Chevy Cavalier LS Coupe which is my third car and one that I am currently souping up into an American rice burner custom job . My first two were a 1968 Buick Riviera and a 1981 Ford Fairmont which were real beaters. My uncle bought the Fairmont for $140 and the Riv off an old lady for $ 1,500. By the way Pierce that Jeep is a really nice truck. I love how you only drive stick shift cars. I'd be the same way except I could only find decent cars with stupid automatic shifters. Here in Ohio people beat the heck out of stick cars. I also noticed you have a silver Casablanca Panama and that Kenroy sitting in the back. Nice fans!

Being a Ricer is NOT a good thing ammuscle... perhaps you need rehab www.ricekiller.comSave yourself the embarrassment and use the money to put actual performance mods on the car if you're gonna do something to it! From one who used to own an 03 Cavalier himself. Trust me on this one.

whatever JW. I just so happen to be a huge fan of ricers and muscle cars. My "Molly's" engine isn't good enough to be a muscle car but I love her anyway.

A ricer is NOT an import. A ricer is a badly modified car, domestic OR import, that sounds four times faster than it runs (usually accompanied by the driver acting like a complete idiot and wanting to race and/or cut off anyone in sight). Usually has a big spoiler that is completely unnecessary on a front wheel drive car and does nothing but put weight on the car and make it look like a shopping cart. Most of them have the loud "fart cans" instead of actual exhaust-work that do nothing but make the car sound like a loud Weed-Eater. I will agree with you that the 03 Cavalier has a much better engine than previous Cavaliers - the 2.2 ECOTEC. I traded mine in for a Pontiac G5 GT, (same thing as the non-turbo Cobalt SS) which has the same ECOTEC engine, but it's 2.4L. 170HP, not too bad for a non-turboed 4-banger. Here's my G5: Here's my old Cavalier on the left, with the G5 on the right: Here, on the other hand, is an example of a Cavalier that has been "riced out": Note that it has: 1) Obnoxiously big wing 2) Part of a bodykit that does not match the rest of the car 3) Fart can See the difference?

I just so happen to be a huge fan of ricers and muscle cars. I can't believe those words came out of your mouth... I think I just puked... A 5 inch muffler (or in this case, more like a resonator) at the end of a 2 1/2 inch diameter exhaust isn't going to give you much power. But, if you have a large diameter exhaust, and you need to let the air escape, a large muffler that works with the rest of the exhaust components will do, as the case of many high powered cars, such as the Toyota Supra twin turbo. And no, a spoiler on a front wheel drive car won't make it go faster, it does the complete opposite, as it pushes the rear down, while lifting the front, which are the wheels you want to keep on the ground. A front wheel drive car can be a good performace car, if you know how to tune it right and make power. I hate any car that looks like a VW Beetle, PT Cruiser, or Chevrolet HHR, Scion XB (and XD), Honda Element, or anything of that kind. When I get my license, I want to get a Subaru Forester XT. It has a very similar chassis to the Impreza, because it was based on it. It has the same engine as the 2003-2004 WRX STi, except with a smaller turbo, and smaller intercooler, a different exhaust system, and a reprogrammed ECU. I'm going to get one and put some STi parts into it, and it will be the ultimate, yet economical sleeper. They can get 20+ mpg (a big plus nowadays), 300+ hp, 4 doors, and room to haul stuff. Plus, it can run with sports cars twice the price.

ok your right JW. I didn't know what a real ricer is. Truthfully my car isn't a ricer though. It can pretty much back up what it says it can even though it still has a fart can on it. I am turning it into a real American Tuner with a complete engine makeover. I do happen to know a kid who goes to our school who drives this pos honda civic that is a real ricer. This kid over revs his engine so much that he now is burning oil because he revs the engine right after he cold starts it and he doesn't know jack about driving a stick shift. If you want to see a real ricer look at his beat up civic.
