Because more often than not it's some noob saying "oh hi i like it too" or something that adds absolutely nothing to the topic.

I know I posted this in the other thread,
but the pic of the fan JW took matches 100% the 2 that used to hang in a local dry cleaner. They had the unique canopies and tassel pull-chains like the one in the pic.
What they did with said fans...good question. However, they eventually got replaced with crappy Lowe's white builders.
This does look slightly different to the one Pierce is after.

I agree that the Kevin syndrome is annoying. Those get deleted.
Reed, so we're assuming they ARE the same fan, yes?

Yes, Dan, my 'long-lost fans' are exactly like the one JW recently sighted if that's what you mean.

2015 updates. So Adam found a very similar white version of my fan: It's different: * No wingtip blades * Bottom edge of switch housing is rounded * Standard 8-9 degree pitch (instead of 18-20) * Standard speeds (instead of ~60 RPM on high) Then today I found two more in a house for sale. 36" version of Adam's same white one - first time a 36"er has been known to exist: Brass/wood version of Adam's same one (non-wingtip blades, rounded switch housing, etc.):

Plus, there was one seen briefly in a video of a Habitat - which Dan Neuman tried to get for me (thanks man!)
So clearly there were different sizes and colors, but also two versions -- (1) a fancier one with wingtip blades, a slightly different switch housing, higher pitch, and slower speeds -- and then (2) the one Adam has and also seen in the two photos above.
Please keep eyes peeled! Cash is always available for this fan.

Actually a 36" would be amazing.

I want one of these for the museum I saw some YouTube videos of you and Tom Frampton and the ceiling fan museum. It's nice. But the first one - the first correct, 52", polished brass w/ antique white blades, high-pitch, low-speed, flat-switch-housing one - goes to me.

Last year I found a picture of a brown one in Japan. I should have saved the picture.
