Last August I found one of the Toshiba model I wanted the most, a blue Crystal Zephyr. It turned out to be a 40 cm model with 5-way oscillation. I didin't know Toshibas ever made 5-way oscillation models. I thought it was exclusive to KDK, Nationals and Panasonics. It needed a good cleaning and an oiling. It now works very well. It's extremely powerful! It's my most powerful Toshiba. It definitely surpasses many high velocity fans in termes of air mouvement. Just like other Toshibas I have, there's a big difference between low and medium speeds. Low speed is quiet and slow and medium and high are very fast. The construction is very similar to the Toshiba Cool Sprinter I got in 2013 from the same period. A metal base and metal neck with a plastic motor cover and plastic blades. It also has an head wire and the same swirl back grill with a large opening at the neck level. I love how the blue of the blades is a more vibrant royal blue rather than a slightly grayish light blue that my other Toshibas have. It's my first four plastic bladed fan with the shamrock blade style. Because of the additional special piece at the top of the neck to make the 5-way oscillation possible, it makes the fan even taller. Toshibas desk fans are naturally tall so at 72-73 cm it's a pretty tall desk fan. As you can see it has a 45 minutes timer on the base. I find it a little odd that it's 45 minutes rather than 60 and that the buttom for low speed is grayish rather than light blue. Enjoy!
