Those fans definitely look nice, I might have to consider them for our house. They're just more than I'm hoping to put into an apartment.

If you're looking for a PB or AB fan, the Craftmade Ellington Series is selling in those finishes on Build.com for under $60. I will have to consider those. I was looking to put two 52" ceiling fans in the apartment my parents rent out (the one I put the 42" huggers in). I don't want to spend too much money and risk some tenant damaging them. I was planning on putting HB Landmark above the entryway, and one of these Seasons PB fans in the living room. It is more less one big room with an archway separating them, which is why I would like to have matching fans, one with a light kit and one without. IDEA: I did some shopping for the general category of brass ceiling fans and along the way, I found this advertisement: www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00KVRE02G/ref=mp_s_a_1_35?ie=UTF8&qid=1508193371&sr=8-35&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=brass+ceiling+fan&dpPl=1&dpID=31OyXwblONL&ref=plSrchThis advertisement is for the Hampton Bay Glendale ceiling fan for $58, in Flemish brass (almost the same as polished brass). If you were to buy two of these, you would be barely above $100, and since they come with extra switch caps, you could use one with the light and one without. This would be a good fit for an apartment setting, it seems. EDIT: Hampton Bay seems to have a better version of their Glendale for the same price: www.homedepot.com/p/Glendale-II-52-in-Indoor-Flemish-Brass-Ceiling-Fan-with-Light-Kit-AG524PR-FB/204736953?cm_mmc=Shopping%7cTHD%7cG%7c0%7cG-BASE-PLA-D27L-CeilingFans%7c&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwc3P09H31gIVXLbACh2ffQaUEAQYASABEgKUUfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CL_h4KrS99YCFUXFZAodYlIPeQThe switch cap is NOT included and has to be ordered; it can be found here: www.homedepot.com/p/Hampton-Bay-Glendale-52-in-Flemish-Brass-Switch-Cap-228156037/300043451

HD Supply is now sold out of these fans, is there any other place I can order one? These seemed to be the only polished brass fans without a light kit for under $100. Just buy a Hunter Beacon Hill its a solid performer and comes with an optional switch cap. Although its a 42" instead of a 52" you will feel more air movement for sure. Older beacon hills are really good. But, the newer Hunter beacon Hill is a waste of $110. It's become relatively poor in quality and air movement is barely above mediocre for a 42" fan. If we're talking Beacon Hills, you may as well buy a 44" Supra, which is WELL worth it. But, something of anything above builderfan-caliber, of which the Beacon Hill is a bit above and the Supra is in the realm of high-end spinner motor stuff, is too good a product for an apartment application.

I bought them all brand new at a Home Depot and installed them myself... one is from 2008 and the others are from 2011-present... again none came with switch caps. If you don't buy from Home Depot, the warranty wouldn't be valid, because only Home Depot sells Hampton Bay. There's probably a reason why they're cheaper than what Home Depot sells them for, and it's probably because the reseller bought them from Home Depot as returns.

That's odd that these don't come with something as simple and convenient as a switch cap...however, as far as the information about the warranty, I don't know. I have seen certain home store products among others sold direct from Amazon for full list price. The landmark's price on Amazon is an outrageous $90, and I have no clue why, when it is sold at Home Depot for around 2/3 tthat.

It seems as if Hampton Bay sells three different versions of the Glendale: the regular Glendale (which has progressively gotten worse), this Glendale II non-LED, which has a 153×15mm motor and seems to have a thicker, sturdier-looking housing and better performance than the standard Glendale. Link is in my first post on this page (Matt, you might wanna check that out...). They also seem to sell the Glendale II with an LED light kit, which is the same as the fan linked above, but again with a different light kit technology. What I found on Amazon was the regular Glendale, so it was a good thing I came across Home Depot's website, since I was disproved about their Flemish brass finish being on clearance, and their Glendale II series is seemingly better than the normal Glendale.

The Glendale is essentially the same fan as the Landmark, but slightly better quality, and is beginning to replace it. I don't believe my local HD stocks anything other than a 42" white Glendale and 52" nickel Glendale. They DON'T stock the Landmark. I wouldn't buy a Landmark over this. Yes, it's ridiculous that they don't include a switch cap. I don't know about the warranty either, but I always buy from an authorized reseller to make sure I get the full warranty whenever buying anything.

The Glendale II's seem to have larger (but still small) 153×15mm motors and thicker, higher quality MOTOR housings (lol) as opposed to whatever they're putting into the skinny little motor housings of their normal Glendale, the latter having gotten progressively worse. Some earlier Glendales had 153×18mm and 153×20mm motors; the Glendale downgraded to and kept at the 153×15mm motor size, and then Glendale motors got smaller than that (likely 153×12 or 153×13),

If this was for our house, I would most likely get the Supras, unfortunately, they do not come in any form of brass. Do only the Glendales not come with a switch cap, or is that pretty much all light kit equipped fans they sell? HD Supply sells light kit version of the fan in the OP, would it come with a switch cap?

But, the Seasons fan for the same price doesn't perform nearly as well as the Glendale (II) that I linked the Home Depot page for a bit earlier in the thread. Were this a house you were buying fans for, I would tell you to consider three options: the Supra, the Edgewood, and the Canfield, which are some of the best high-end basic spinner-motor fans on the market today. Supra or Canfield for a fan with high quality and K55-level performance for less than $150 and less than $200 respectively, Edgewood for a fan with high quality and INSANE performance for under $250. Of those three, the Canfield is the only one that comes in Brass.

The wires for the fan's light kit can be disconnected, and a no-light switch cap can be ordered from Home Depot. The fan can be installed without a light kit, but it doesn't come with the switch cap for some odd reason.
