They aren't necessarely the best fans in the world, but their styles are rather unique. I like the jellyfish. That is a really cool fan. I found a fan and lighting store that didn't sell casablanca fans or anything else with a K55 or equivilent in it. They had quorum fans there and they had the jellyfish on display there.

Oh really? I see, but still that's at least better than some fan brands oh let's say Hampton Bay Fans. This is just my opinion.

Hampton bay fans are a few of the worst fans available, aside from k-mart and walmart. Litex makes fans for walmart and I think SMC makes them for k-mart. They're worse than hampton bay. In other words, you'd be right about quorum fans.

Quorum is another import showroom/builder brand, not unlike Minka Aire, Hampton Bay Monte Carlo, and anything else you could think of naming. There's really not that much difference in terms of quality outside of looking at the specs (motor windings and blade pitch) after all they're all the same basic construction. There are some different designs and features you may like.
Back in the 90s Quorum had a 60" five blade Homestead (Universal/Stratford) copy. They were also the first to come out with that Duplo-Dinamico/Matthews-Gerbar/Whatever modern Gyrofan.

I'm sold on the Quorum fans! I personally like their style better than Casablancas nowadays...I think Quorum seems to be the 'Cadillac' of ceiling fans.

Um, in order to be considered the Cadillac, they would not only have to be stylish, but 1. not just quality but over-engineered (of which they are neither) and 2. "gas guzzlers." When has the Cadillac ever been a cheap, underpowered import? The Hunter Original, when made in America, could possibly have been considered the Cadillac, although it was never stylish in the modern sense of the word. 80s and early 90s Casablancas, certainly.

Maybe the Original could be considered the Buick of ceiling fans. Strong and reliable but not very stylish in a modern sense nor equipped with all the electronic frills of a Casablanca. Great fans. Like you said earlier, Quorum seems like another "designer" fan that uses somewhat stylish designs to command high prices while skimping in the engineering department. I would not recommend one, and would instead advise anyone to look at a K-55 or one of its variants. Perhaps the new XTR motor will be able to compete with a K-55 not just in air-movement but also in reliability and longevity.

Oooooohhh I just have to butt in. The Original is more like an Oldsmobile. Purchased by old people and no longer made (in a way)
