I went thrifting and to a yard sale today.
At the first thrift store I saw a brown 20" box fan with plastic grilles and 5 GE- plastic blades, I think it was a Kel Aire but I couldn't see the label as there was stuff on top of it. I didn't see the motor either.
At the yard sale I saw a GE standard 16" fan from the 40s probably, it was black. $20 and a greenish Kenmore 12" oscillating fan from probably the 40s or 50s. I passed as they both needed work. Oddly in the past I bought a 12" GE gray standard fan from a yard sale at that same house.
At Habitat I saw a blue 20" Kmart Lakewood box fan with the 5 big plastic blades and a McMillan motor. But the grilles were yellowed and broken badly. It was $4.50.
I didn't get any of the fans this time.

Today I saw an antique Vornado circulator in green at the thrift store, the paint was a little rough and it needed new wiring - no price. And I saw a 16" pedestal of some kind laying on the side of the road in front of a house.

At an estate sale today I saw a cheap Holmes box fan in the garage being used and there was a Lasko green clip-on fan for sale. I thought about getting the Lasko, as I had one for a short time back in 1992, but mine the clip broke. But there was no price on it, and I didn't really have a use for it, since I found the 6" desk version in white. That house had GE vent fans, white 52" four blade in most rooms and a 36" five blade one in the kitchen.
The other estate sale I went to had mostly new ornate fans I couldn't identify (it was a newer house with big rooms and they were packed with people), only the main areas and garage were open. The garage had an orange Home Depot four blade barrel type fan.
At the flea market I saw a GE all-metal box fan, the square sided version that would be beige, but someone had painted it light gray. It was dirty and rusty, and I didn't want it as I've no where to put it. They wanted $12.50 OBO. There was also an O2 cool battery fan with five blades in the box at another booth. Other than that mostly cheap Holmes and Lasko box fans and a few 90s Lasko box fans being used.

I would have gotten that GE box fan,, 12 dollars for one of those is a great deal.. Those were some of the most well-made box fans out there..
I went to a tag sale today and drove by a few others on the way home from work.. No fans or anything else of interest..

Today I went to the flea market and Habitat. At the flea market I saw a 9" Lasko oscillator and 8" Honeywell circulator, which I already have those. There was also an 8" Wizard oscillator in beige which I passed as it was $18 and I already have enough of those. There was a 16" Holmes pedestal with the five blades, looked like white with gray blades, it was $20.
At Habitat I saw a gray Toastmaster box fan with the banana blades. It had the McMillan oval vent motor, just like mine does but it had rust spots and missing the handle. I passed.

I probably would’ve bought the Toastmaster if the price was right, and the Lasko. What color blades was the 9” Lasko?

Went to the flea market again today. There was one of those green Sears HV fans made by Vernco, but the front badge was missing and the blade had been replaced with a silver aluminum blade.

Last weekend went thrifting and found a green Duracraft Stackable Fan which I bought. It was rainy and cold out so no one set up outside at the flea market, only inside.
This weekend went to flea market and saw no fans other than a brown 36" spinner of some kind with a PB 4 arm light kit.

Haven't seen many fans lately. This morning I saw a newer box fan with some other things someone had sitting in their driveway for sale. I think it was most likely a modern Holmes, though could have been a Kenmore.

Stopped at the flea market and habitat. Habitat had a 12" SMC oscillator with very yellowed badge. At the flea market the only fan I saw was a 10" Zero/McGraw fan that was white and I think badged Citation but can't recall, maybe it was Catalina. There was a light/dark gray Duracraft Turbo Fan there also. Oh and another thrift store had a black Vornado heater from the 90s I thought about getting but didn't need it. I didn't get any of the fans but of course I saw lots of fans and got plenty at Fan Fest last weekend.
