Didn't everything in this age range start using the K55XL? I guess I never even knew the technical differences between them, motor stats usually bore me to absolute death. I agree about the hand carved blades. I too felt that wider, more substantial blades actually suit a fan of this grander scale better. The finishes look good together in that picture, in person it's maybe not what I would call a perfect match, but it looks good for sure. Yes, the housing does have a little bit more vibrancy to it, I wasn't successful in capturing it in a picture. It's still a subtle design, but really beautifully done. I did a detail shot in the video which gives you a better idea of how it really looks: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ud6NMj9Pjms Up until around 2013, when Emerson discontinued the standard premium and crown, certain stack motor Fans would use the K55 (premium, crown, amphora, derby, provence, cornerstone, Maui bay, etc), and other stack motor Fans use/used the K55XL motor (Apollo, Newer premium and crown [2013-now], southtowne, Raphael series, penbrooke [2014-now], baton rouge, odyssey [?] maybe, Camden, St. Croix [2011-2014], Tommy Bahama edition Fans, etc). Weird, right?
