I like to make separate threads for these Minneapolis trips, kind of a separate feature than my usual finds. This past weekend I made the usual summer trip, and had a bit more success this year than I did when I went late last summer. I'll be posting everything as I get to it, so stay tuned. First of all, all the random stuff I grabbed, which some of you may have seen elsewhere already. You can pretty much see everything so I won't explain much, not sure what's up with the Regency parts in the upper left, but for $5 there was some stuff I could use there so I grabbed it. And the first fan, a NIB Regency Marquis-MX. It seems that I'm one of few collectors in these parts with any kind of affinity for Regency fans, aside from the stack motor models anyway. Pretty much anything in their old line from near the turn of this century is a childhood fan for me. I see a lot more plain Marquis models than any of the MX variants, so I thought this one was worthy of picking up especially in such a classic finish combo. There were no blades to be found (since you buy them separate), I picked up the set shown at my own Habitat a few months back and they found a home on this fan. Some people might not like the square blades, I've personally always been fond of that look for Regency fans. It definitely feels heftier than the basic Marquis models, and moves better air too. More to come soon!

Love the Regency!
Personally I find hand-carved blades overrated LOL

I'm not really huge on most "hand carved" blades myself, but when a $109 set of blades is sitting in front of me for $5, I grab them anyways. These, however, aren't the most hideous hand carved blades you could pick either. I don't completely hate them.

Gorgeous! That is just about the most elusive finish combination I have seen on a decorative. Great score!

Craftmade is a nice find.. I think I'd like to see this in brass/black.. not sure I'm sold on the green yet..wish it was a deeper shade green.. this looks more like a green-blue color.. but I could just be seeing it wrong..

I like green Decoratives! I like the Gloss Red Decoratives because Friendly's restaurants have/had them installed. Friendly's has had Decoratives in PB. I prefer Gloss Red. Gloss Green/PB is a nice finish!

Gloss Green/PB is a nice finish! Some Carl's jrs have them down here in Cali. The red decorative are quite eye pleasing, though.

It's matte green.
And I was going to mention, the pictures lightened the green immensely with the flash, I didn't even realize the extent of that until I posted them. The video is a more accurate representation of what it actually looks like, it is deeper than it appears here.

Number three! 52" CEC spinner, I would guess a Menards version given I found it in Minneapolis, but I can't tell for sure so I'm just sticking with plain CEC. At first glance I wasn't exactly enthused with this one either, but then I realized it was 52" which you don't see every day, and upon closer inspection it looked to be in pretty great condition. Was just really dusty and had some scuffing, both of which I resolved with pretty little effort. Looks great, runs great, moves good air. I really like how these particular spinners have great speed selection in every size from 42" on up to 52". High speed is decently powerful, low speed is nicely slow for a spinner fan.

The fan is actually pretty nice, but antique brass would have much improved the look. Who's with me now?

Yes I have noticed you like Regency fans a lot.
The older Craftmade Decorative is very cool. I actually like better what is shown on the box.
The Canarm Mystic had the same finish combo around 1997. How old is this fan?
