The fan is actually pretty nice, but antique brass would have much improved the look. Who's with me now? It would look good in antique brass.. personally I think it would look good in just about anything.. but I was thinking more polished brass.. I like finishes that shine!
C'mon now, you have a bright brass Panama in your room!

I like this kind of almond off-white that Commander used, brown would've been neat. IDK why but I don't really care for these spinners as much in PB, I've picked them up before, but they're my least favorite variant. AB is good though.
Considering a Regency catalog was the first real piece of ceiling fan literature I ever acquired, yeah, I have a specific liking for their older fans.
It looks like the Craftmade is from 1996, if I'm understanding the apparent date code correctly.

The first catalog I had was a Home Depot one (Hampton Bay and a few Hunters).. That's probably why I always like older Hampton Bay stuff.. even if its cheap..

Here's number four, a brown/brass Casablanca Delta. That picture looked like it turned out better on my camera than it actually did... Anyways, the fan looked like it was in better shape on the CL ad, and probably was when the picture was originally taken, but I still thought it was worth picking up despite the very apparent scratches in the finish. Unfortunately the original Hang-Tru had been lost, it was shown on the ad, but the listing had been up for over a month and they'd moved the fan around countless times and I guess the small stuff went missing. It actually did clean up better than I expected it to, bearings were a little stiff with slight noise, but they got better after I ran it a little. Also included was a set of Original blades, they were shown in the ad, though there was never any motor evidently available for them to pair with. Video of the Delta will be up today!

Love the color combination.. Brass and dark brown always look good together on old ceiling fan... No wonder the "Vintage Ceiling Fans" logo at the top of the page is flanked by two brown/brass smc laguna images... But I do agree with the brown/brass looking good on older fans.

But after all, it was a common style back then.

I agree as well. But after all, it was a common style back then. A style that, in my world anyways, will never go out of fashion..
