Is yours IntelliTouch? I think the ones that were the Panama 5 (V) were the ones with 5B only flywheels. Its technically 'Advantouch', the one with the remote. It did come with a typical Intellitouch wall control, but I had to get the remote because I don't have a wall switch that goes to it. I'm pretty sure it's a V, but I could be wrong. I'll have to look at the box later today when I am home. No the V's were made in the 80s. If yours is from 2012, it's a II. I have the Advantouch remote as well because I didn't originally want to get the rocker panel switches to replace the toggle ones on the wall, but I ended up doing that.

I see, I thought the 5 was the latest one, I never would have guessed the numbers went down over time. Interesting, I don't know much about model numbers.

In context, the V means something different, typically, the V was a Panama I.

Never seen a panama w/ 5 blade only flywheel... Except for the new panama XLP that came out 6 months ago.

At some point they dropped the 5/V and it became just the Panama for probably less than ten years until they went with the concealed hardware and it changed to the Panama II.

When did they come out with the concealed hardware? Mine (obviously) has this.

I think that all took place for the 2000 model year. That's at least when the Panama name was changed to Panama II (same with the Ventura II and Delta III)

They most likely hadn't thought of it... when Hunter started with concealed hardware in the 90s, they did it to Casablanca soon thereafter.
