Its been a while, with work and such, but I am back. This week's project was to install a Classic white Panama in my mother's guest bedroom. This fan replaced another panama, which was made from parts. The light kit was a suggestion by Dan Neuman, and I was able to acquire it from the Broward Habitat, with Adam's help. At any rate, here are the pictures: Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Looks great! I suppose the blades are mahogany like I have on my Panama II?

I love it! Classic white is always a good finish for Panama's.

I'm going to guess that this is an Inteli-Touch... am I right?

Very nice! I have a Panama in my bedroom as well, they're great fans.

I LIKE IT! I would have preferred 4 blade install, though. Great job with the light! 4 blades is much more classic and will give you better performance, but on the Panama, I generally like it with 5.

For me it depends on the finish... if it's brass or white or brass and white, go with 4. Anything else, go with 5.

Chrome, chrome/satin steel, satin steel with red, orange, green, turquoise/aqua, blue, black,or purple accents, or chrome with those same accents (high gloss blades too), would look good w/ 4 blades. Other than that, go with 5. Matt R's install was exemplary, but would've looked just a tad better with 4. Uh... Vincent, you're pretty much agreeing with me when you said white is a good finish for 4 blades.

I have one like that, but it only adapts 5 blades... my brushed nickel Panama in my bedroom has 4/5 blades, as it is from 2011, and I put 5 on.

Mine is also in my bedroom, its a 2012 model, and it can take 4/5 blades. What years did they not put the 4/5 blade flywheel on? I thought they always had that.

Is yours IntelliTouch? I think the ones that were the Panama 5 (V) were the ones with 5B only flywheels.

Is yours IntelliTouch? I think the ones that were the Panama 5 (V) were the ones with 5B only flywheels. Its technically 'Advantouch', the one with the remote. It did come with a typical Intellitouch wall control, but I had to get the remote because I don't have a wall switch that goes to it. I'm pretty sure it's a V, but I could be wrong. I'll have to look at the box later today when I am home.
