That's so cheap. No, it's cheaper than cheap. It does look pretty cheap...I'm sure its performance isn't much better.

Video uploaded: That's so cheap. No, it's cheaper than cheap. It is! It does look pretty cheap...I'm sure its performance isn't much better. They look pretty bad with the white blades, but I had no better options with the walnut side being damaged. And no, the performance isn't any better!

I don't think the color of the blades is the problem, I think white looks good with the nickel rather than oak. The problem lies within the light and the blade irons.

The problem lies within the light and the blade irons. That is true. The light kit is reminiscent of cheap, builder standard light fixtures that you commonly find in most homes less than six years old. Very nice fan! Do they still sell that fan in that style? Which fan, the Canarm Carla?

It looks good to me. I like the shape of the housing.

It actually looks like the Hampton Bay Everstar with 5 blades instead of 4, a different style of light kit, sort of different blades, and without the sports print on the blades... wonder if the same manufacturer made it?

Forgetting what you said isn't half as bad as modifying what someone else said! Either way, I don't think wood blades of any kind would look good.

It looks good to me. I like the shape of the housing. The housing isn't the problem. It's the blades, light kit and terrible quality that's the issue here. It actually looks like the Hampton Bay Everstar with 5 blades instead of 4, a different style of light kit, sort of different blades, and without the sports print on the blades... wonder if the same manufacturer made it? Not a bad theory I guess, however Hampton Bay Everstar's are Air Cool-made. These fans are clearly not. Forgetting what you said isn't half as bad as modifying what someone else said! Either way, I don't think wood blades of any kind would look good. It was a joke I don't disagree about the walnut, but white just looks cheap in my opinion. In terms of wood, cherry or possibly maple might look nice.

Personally I don't think a wood of any type looks good with this finish. The only contrasts I like are black blades, or white blades when it comes to brushed nickle/stainless steel or whatever it is. When did the Hampton Bay Everstar come out? I've never heard of that model before, nor do I particularly like it.

Personally I don't think a wood of any type looks good with this finish. The only contrasts I like are black blades, or white blades when it comes to brushed nickle/stainless steel or whatever it is. Black does look quite nice with brushed pewter or nickel finishes, however cherry is my favorite combination. I don't generally like white in contrast with brushed nickel/pewter, although it can look good with chrome. When did the Hampton Bay Everstar come out? I've never heard of that model before, nor do I particularly like it. 2008 maybe? It's not really a Hampton Bay model that I've paid much attention to...

To begin this two part update, I'll start by sharing a few pictures and a video you've all been waiting for. Firstly, the Canadiana. Motor - 153X18: And the ventless Banvil: Unfortunately, Photobucket appears to be having some site issue at the moment, so I am not able to properly edit or view my library. Therefore, more updates (and I mean a lot more) will come as soon as those issues are resolved. Bear with my guys Have a great night VCF, Max
