I'm sorry I don't have a picture, but quite a few years ago, Home Depot offered a really funky builder style fan. it was black with neon coloured blades. 5 blade if my memory serves me correct. I am trying to find one. Also, if you know of this model I describe, please post information.

I think you mean the Carousel.

Certainly sounds like a Carousel. I see them NIB on Craigslist pretty frequently, actually.

Btw they were last sold in 2002 when the carousel II replaced it.

Here's the Carousel I: Carousel II in my 2004 Home Depot catalog (top right): Either of those look familiar? The fan you described sounds more like the Carousel I.

Thanks guys! It is indeed the Carousel I. Don't know why I thought it had neon coloured blades. Looks like I'll have to bastardize some fan blades with some fluorescent paint.

There was a black/neon colored fan offered by Beverly Hills Fan Co., but that wasn't offered at Home Depot to my knowledge.

The Carousel I was a builderfan with C-brackets and multicolored blades and housing. Also had a four bullet-style multicolored light kit on it and a black "beehive" canopy. It was 52" in diameter and was sold from the mid 1990s to 2002.
The Carousel II came with two reversible sets of blades and was 44" instead of the Carousel I's 52" diameter. The blades were reversible from white to bleached oak, and the other set was primary or pastel colors. It had a three mesh-style light kit on it and a ventless housing. Had three circles together for blade arms. Also had a "beehive" canopy. It was sold from 2003-2007ish.
The Carousel III came with reversible pastel or dark pink and dark blue blades and had dark pink and dark blue pull chain teardrop-shaped pendants. It was also 44" and had an integrated frosted dome light and also had a contemporary-styled housing and no blade arms. It was only sold from like 2008-2009. There hasn't been a Carousel since.
