There is/was a spot on the boardwalk of one of the Jersey Shore towns bulldozed by Scrambles the Death Dealer that had a few carousels... one of them had a yellow canopy, don't ask me why.

The Carousel I was a builderfan with C-brackets and multicolored blades and housing. Also had a four bullet-style multicolored light kit on it and a black "beehive" canopy. It was 52" in diameter and was sold from the mid 1990s to 2002. I think these may have been available at least as early as 1993. Some also have yellow canopies. The ones with the Yellow canopy were from Encon for the 1994-1997 model years. Those are the first Carousel multi-colored fans. They were copies of the California Surf with some minor changes. The bright multi-colored one shown above is the direct replacement when The Home Depot stopped buying the unit from Encon. It was cheaper, cuter and had some qualities that were recently incorporated by The Home Depot for Hampton Bay. The California Surf (52") and California Surfer (42") were sold at Builders Square only after Sears discontinued their annual Big Book catalogs. After a short time, both Builders Square and Beverly Hills Fan Co. went out of business and the fan sunk into oscurity as a shadow to the Carousel.
