Newest scores of mine, been procrastinating to post here: 1st find is a brown/brass NuTone Sea Island $20 habitat find. Missing mounting bracket traditionally but everything else is there. The only big issue this fan has is the blades are badly warped. 2nd find is an Emerson Blenderfan from the mid 70s. Got this from Christian C. From a trade: And last but not least is a nice 1984 Fasco World's Fair. Charlie E. made a long road trip to get these since this one and one other identical fan were up for sale up in Northern Ohio. We shelled out $100 each for these. Upon further inspection we found that the flywheels were not surprisingly falling apart so i did what Adam did and ordered new 5 blade flywheels and drilled them to fit 6 blades. an other issue we have also is that both potentiometers on these fans are bad so we have to keep the fan on the strict high setting and use wall controls on them for now. I have a 4 speed control on my fan. which works perfectly. LOVE that Emerson heat fan!

For those who dont follow facebook. Here are my latest finds from this past weekend: 1st one is a super early NuTone Verandah II from 1988. This is basically just a Verandah Deluxe with a spinner motor (same style used in the Haciendas) and its only 3 speed. 2nd one is an Emerson Premium from the late 90s: 3rd find is this nice Emerson 1895 series from 1984. When I found the fan it was sitting on a skid and had a broken bracket from pure carelessness. Most likely done by the people at the store, which I absolutely hate how they treat the fans in that place. not to mention whoever prices their fans is on drugs who prices them RIDICULOUSLY high. but with that rage aside, I only paid $10 since it had the broken bracket and no price tag. I got the Premium at the same store and it also didn't have a price so I got it for only $15. You can get some good deals there if you beat the pricing guy. Anyways I had 2 sets of spare brackets so easy fix: Also got a Polished brass Casablanca Delta II there for only $20. It's missing the mounting hardware but it's in good shape so I'll source a generic canopy and bracket for it and call it complete.

The Nutone Verandah II and Emerson 1895 are stellar. Let me know if you ever want to sell or trade.

Ugh same with my ReStore, if I get to them with no price the guy at the register always gives me a decent price. Sometimes a little more than I'd like to pay, but fair enough. Great finds though, I love that Premium.

Happy holidays everybody, Here are a few new acquisitions: 1st is a 2nd Gen Fanimation Islander with the adjustable pitch brackets. This fan was on a 5 foot downrod when I found it and it was set up in the 5 blade configuration but one blade was MIA. I asked around to see if anybody knew if they had it, but no one knew. The blades are a little tattered, I will have to source new blades and possibly a 5th bracket for it in the future. There was a 2nd identical fan there that Charlie E. bought. His has all 5 blades. I installed the fan in my dining room for the helluva it. The light is my own add-on. 2nd is this sweet little Hunter Comfort Breeze, I had to do some repair work on the flywheel since it was broken in 2 places. I basically just epoxied a few fender washers on top of it to hold everything together. Solid as a rock now. This fan had a 42" downrod on it. It makes me wonder what kind of install this fan was in. I cut the downrod down and converted it to ball and socket since the fan was missing most of its mounting hardware traditionally. 3rd is one of those (In the words of Andrew G.) "queer" plastic Family Handyman Magazine order fans. Missing blades sadly. I'll have to look around next time I'm down there so see If I can find them. Fan was never installed as you can see. Even the folks of Habitat knew what they had with this fan when they asked a whopping 4 bucks for it. Here is the Delta II hung up from the last fan hunt. Runs flawlessly.

How do the adjustable pitch brackets work, is it for reversing or changing the amount of air the fan moves? I like the Comfort Breeze, that light looks perfect on there. Too bad the blades are missing for the Handyman Magazine fan, even though they're not the best fans they're rather uncommon. The Delta II looks great too

I would say the purpose of the brackets so the user can adjust the air movement to their desired level. The brackets can be adjusted in almost any angle. From almost flat to straight up. You can even pitch them to reverse airflow, but the reversible motor defeats that purpose.

I assume the motor still has speeds?
