Hi all, Jamie here. Brand new to this board and a proud owner of 2 Hunter model 22272 series L ceiling fans. I was wondering if anyone could provide details concerning the approx. age of these fans. Also are there directions showing steps to disassemble and clean these fans. I bought these fans at a yard sale for almost nada, and they need some maintenance. Excited to get to work on these fans Thanks in advance

You should put oil in them (there is a hole near where the down rod goes into the cast iron housing). Hunter sells fan oil. You need to do that every so often to keep them in top shape. You can actually disassemble the decorative face-plate and other parts from the fan by taking out screws. Keep us updated on your restoration process!

Oiling them is pretty much the only maintenance I could think of without doing a full restore.. Keep them cleaned and oiled and they'll last forever..
