does anyone know how to fix a a galaxy desk fan I took it apart to clean it out it was dirty inside and i gave it some oil and when I put it back together the shaft gets locked up then loosens up for a bit then gets locked up again idk what i did is there a fix for this?

You have to make sure the bearings are aligned properly.. Generally I like to tighten the two screws until you feel resistance, then go another quarter-half turn and leave it there.. Then take a rubber handled screw driver and hit the shaft in all directions a few times.. That should get it into alignment..
Based on what you described, I would say that the bearings are either not aligned properly or maybe you used the wrong type of oil.. What oil did you put in? And what size is this fan?

Based on what you described, I would say that the bearings are either not aligned properly or maybe you used the wrong type of oil.. What oil did you put in? And what size is this fan?
I used zoomspout light machine oil i found out what it was but i broke the oscillator button off cuz i couldnt figure out how to get it off the rotor got pushed to far back so i pushed it back in place now it works but has no button for oscillation anymore

ZoomSpout is a good oil to use on those fans.. You have to be very careful with those oscillator knobs,, unfortunately they are very difficult to get off an on.. Nobody to my knowledge has found a good way of doing it..
