I ordered this brown Canarm CP56 from Paul Grégoire lighting center last month. Thier prices are so low. It's the same place I bought the CP48 in 2012. After seeing so many of theses fans installed everywhere, it's cool to actually own one. It's the most popular metal blade fan in Québec and in Canada in general. I also love how they didn't changed in close to 22 years and kept the look of a classic spinner look with thick rounded motor and nice wide curved blades. They even still make them in brown. It's extremely quiet and very powerful. I get a good range of speeds, about 50/100/200/300. It makes a beautiful wind sound on the second lowest speed. I cut the extension pole at 26 cm like I did on the CP48. It leaves a good spacing between the two canopies without being too long. They originally come with a 40 cm pole. This one was made in the second half of the year 2011. It has metal canopies like on my CP48. Here is the video. Enjoy! Pictures to come very soon.

Very nice! I like it a lot.. Looks pretty well made for something modern.. has a good range of speeds.. Cool, I'm glad you like it. Yes they are still a few decent fans below 100$ possible to buy today. I adore the wind sound it makes on a second lowest speed, around 100 rpm. It reminds me so much of the sound of the fan at the beginning of the movie The Beach and on top of that the fan in question looked so much like a Canarm CP.

Seeing how the classic CP line of curved bladed Canarms was recently discontinued to be replaced by their current contoured bladed DC models I decided to revisit this fan originally acquired NIB in July of 2015.
Enjoy!
