For a few years now i noticed in my neighborhood a house that would have their door open at night and I would walk by, and I would see a DB Caribbean Breeze which appeared to be a 48" model hanging with a swag kit... At that time I wasen't sure if it was 36" or 48" seeing how I was seeing it from the road, but I was leaning towards 48" which I happened to be right.. Anyways I noticed there hasn't been any activity going on for a few months at that house, and then one time I walked by and they had one of those big dumpsters in the driveway and filled with wood, and the AC vents all on the front porch.. I was thinking to myself.. I'm sure the fan is gone now and is probably in the bottom of the dumpster.. Few days later I saw there were people in the house working on it, so I decided to knock on the door, and one of the workers answered.. As soon as he opened the door, is when I noticed the fan still hanging.. Found out the old lady that lived in the home went into a nursing home, and the house was sold.. I inquired about the ceiling fan, and told him that I like old ceiling fans.. I was able to walk into the house, and I peaked in one bedroom and noticed a 48" white one going at full speed, and still had the moss tag on the Canopy.. When it was removed by someone, it fell off.. So I offered to give him money for them.. A few weeks later here they are.. There happened to be a third 36" white one in the second smaller bedroom.. So here they are.. A bit rusty, and the DB one I sanded part of the blades and repainted with paint that is almost an exact match.. And it's been added to the Moss gallery under the 48" Moss Caribbean ceiling fan.. There was also a brass late 1980s Hunter five blade, not sure of the model, but I left that behind.. Thanks!! I don't know her, and don't think I've even seen her ever.. I just remember seeing the front door open at night, and the fan with it's swag kit being visible.. Is yours a 36" or 48" model?

Very cool fans Adam, and neat story behind them.. The blades should be relatively easy to get rid of the rust and repaint.. I have a NOS brown 36" one.. Its a really nice show piece but unfortunately the bearings are gone.. The person from whom I bought the fan was kind of a dope as he did not inform me of such, but it partially worked to my advantage since he/she not only included the original documentation for the 36" version, but also for a 48" one, the version with the more rounded shaped motor.. which was also for sale but I did not dare buy from him again after the disaster with the first one.. If anyone would like to see pictures of the boxes or documentation I'll post them tonight..
