Hello. I would like to identify what kind of fan this is: The house was built in the mid 80s, this is very likely original. It has a remote that says Emerson on it, but that could just be a remote kit.

Welcome to the site! Your fan is an Emerson Northwind Remote. The fans are from the mid to late 1990s. They also had a non-remote Northwind. The remote was with the fan when it was installed and is NOT a kit. I see a ceiling canopy behind your fan, so you have 2 Northwind Remote fans? It looks nice in the room!

Yes, there are two. This is actually not my house, it's my uncles. While I'm at it, I need another fan identified. We are moving into a new house. Built in 1984. There's two of these. One pictured and another with a light kit in a bedroom. It's in the basement and will be moved to my bedroom once we move in. I believe these are made by NuTone/Scovill.

Just noticed there is a whole subforum for this. Anyone who has the power to, feel free to move this topic.

Very nice Northwinds.. Do you have a picture of both of them?
The image of the second fan to identify isn't working for me..

It should work now. I will look for a picture of both the Northwinds. I'm surprised they aren't original to the house.
