Hello, My name is Willem and I live in the Netherlands. In the early 90's I bought a ceiling fan in the Netherlands, Europe. Now after all these year's it stopped working. I opened the fan and found that the capacitor is not ok. I think it's a Hampton Bay Landmark fan. The model number is ac-4152-5. I's a 220 Volts model. The capacitor looks like this: Is there anyway to get a replacement capacitor, I have searched but I can't find anything that looks like the one I have. I hope some one can help me find this capacitor. Thanks in advance ! Greetz, Willem.

You just need to find capacitor and resistors in same values. If you can't find 2/3/2.5 uf capacitors, separate 2uf, 2.5uf, and 3uf capacitors and resistors would work.

Thanks for your answer, that is problaby the easiest solution. I only hope that separate parts fit in the fan.

Finding replacements on eBay shouldn't be hard. It's important to note that the capacitors must be rated for at least 220-volts to properly function in the Netherlands though. On a side note, would you mind posting pictures of the entire fan? Good luck on finding replacements Max You just need to find capacitor and resistors in same values. If you can't find 2/3/2.5 uf capacitors, separate 2uf, 2.5uf, and 3uf capacitors and resistors would work. Resistors are most definitely not a requirement. The only function they serve is to fully drain the capacitor when the fan isn't in operation...

I bought 3 seperate capacitors but that doesn't fit in the fan. Now I am looking for a 3 wire capacitor to put in the fan together with a separate 2uf capacitor that I have. So far I have only found on E-bay a 2uf+3uf capacitor (3 wires, 250V) or maybe a 3uf+3.5uf is beter?
I will post pictures if everything works again. For now the blades are off.
