I know that a lot of you occasionally search the real estate website Trulia to find various pics of older fans / fan installs to post here every now and then. I've also done this as well, but I've added another edge to this - if I find a house that not only has good fans / good installs but is a place I like all around, I save it in a folder. Homes have 'come' and 'gone' over the years, but very recently, I noticed a house that I had a very particular attachment to has recently been sold. Here's the house: www.trulia.com/homes/California/Sacramento/sold/6246966-545-Wilhaggin-Dr-Sacramento-CA-95864#photo-21Obviously, a big part of this has to do with the fact that all of the fans in this home are Venus / Venus Halo fans (I can't tell if they have an uplight or not), and another has to do with the fact that unlike a lot of the homes I've 'saved', it's relatively close to where I live. (I live about an hour and a half from Sacramento). A third has to do with the fact that the architecture of the home is pretty much in line with my ideal type of architecture (late 60's to mid 90's contemporary). Unfortunately, it's been sold now. And quite frankly, this is kind of upsetting to me. Besides the fact that the Venus (and more so the Venus Halo) are one of Casablanca's rarer models, I'm also worried that this gem of a house will now be turned into some ugly Tuscan McMansion-type of home and the fans will be sold elsewhere or *gasp* destroyed. I'm well aware of what it's worth, but for some reason... this almost seemed like a dream home for me. What do you all think?

I honestly thought that it would stay around long enough for me to amass enough money to buy it, largely because a lot of the decor seems 'dated' by HGTV standards. (To me, though, it's 100% fabulous!)

Just have to say, AMAZING 80s-90s modern decor. This kind of house is like a dream for me as well, I love the white and chrome-iness of this one. Interesting that they seemed to put a couple of the Venus's (Veni?) on LCAs. I do believe they're just standard Gallery Edition Venus fans, BTW, Halo doesn't seem likely given all the light kits. I'd love to have one of those typical 90s living rooms that were all white and brass. Like this, this is perfection:

Everything in both settings is perfect to me. Except for that abstract painting on the wall.

I actually prefer the open concept renovations, but my style is a bit of traditional mixed with midcentury modern and retro (like most diners you go to nowadays. Which means my favorite fans are generally 1990s Casas, Emerson's, Hunters, etc. That harken back to that 50s esque retro style.

But I would go a little more timemidcentury/retro-contempo than that house. But still a nice living room.

UPDATE: I looked at the house over Google Maps, and apparently the mentioned house has been repainted. Lord know what the new owner is doing to the inside...
