not sure got it off Craigslist for 30$ looks like it was outside somewhere Installed outside is definitely possible, or maybe stored in a damp basement for some time, maybe even sat in water for a little while with that amount of rust.

So would be a garage or outside. Maybe even on a porch or something idk much about its past life

I suppose it could have sat in a wet garage then, or a shed.

Attachment Deleted got most of the rust off the other parts to the point where i was happy with it. Attachment Deleted remove some rust on the blade brackets and got everything ready for a new coat of paint.

Attachment Deletedend result after paint on motor top and lower canopy. Attachment Deleted motor bottom. Attachment Deleted blades and upper canopy getting a second coat where needed. waiting on a bearing in the main still, then gonna fix the winding and bring her back to life!
