got this fan from the scrapyard (mentioned in scrap finds thread page 4) and restored it! this fan was badly rusted and its aluminum coating on both motor and blades were corroded, even after the restoration, some corrosion marks can be seen especially on the downrod.. the bearings were very stiff and it was stiffer in a particular point while it rotates, i tried lubricating bit there was no use, the bearings didnt loosen after several trials, i managed to loosen the bearings by letting the fan operate to its maximum possible with the stiff motor, then by manually spinning the motor it accelerated faster and the bearings loosened completely, there were squeaks but now all the sounds are gone.. the motor makes an unusual hum when it operates and while accelerating, its operation is a bit too violent and stressful for its supporting hook, and i am quite surprised my hook can handle it well and there is no sign of loosening or wear
this fan is ranged from somewhere in late 1970s (1978 or after) to early 80s since its motor is bigger and its blades are aluminum, their regulators are very similar to SMC regulators that were introduced in 1978.. the newer version of this fan has a slightlysmaller motor and dented iron blades
the canopies of this fan were equipped on a winner fan i found in an abandoned farm
