My mother went to Newport RI a few months ago and sent me these pictures. The first two are in a hotel, one is a Casablana Panama, not sure what the other 2 are. It looks to be something Fanimation maybe? These last two are at a restaurant. I have a few other pictures of these fans from past years I went, but not with me at the moment. This is a belt-drive system, I think there are 5 in total if I remember correctly. They do work. Have no idea what make they are, I think they have probably been there for a long time, wouldn't be surprised if they're original. The motor however, is likely not original. One year I went the fans were off and the motor was missing, today its back in service and running. Not sure if the motor failed and they replaced it, or if they got it repaired. I think it was just replaced.

The wicker blade fans and the belt drive fans are Fanimation. Great company!

The wicker fan is a Fanimation and is called the Tropicana. The belt-drive ones are also Fanimation and are called the Bourbon Street.

They are an older version due to the standard blade brackets... I'd say early 90s.

That would put them being there before I was around, so that could very well be. I figured they were older than that.

Now that's what I'm talking about! I absolutely love the Casablanca Panama, especially in that install. The Fanimation Tropicana's and Bourbon Street's as quite nice as well.

It sure is an awesome install! I wish I was there to see it in person. It looks like it was one of the older, better versions with the 4-speed pull.

Being that it's oil rubbed bronze, I'd say that it's from the late 90's at the very oldest.

Very nice fans. I love pull chain Casablanca Panamas. The finish of the blades is antique oak?

Very nice fans. I love pull chain Casablanca Panamas. The finish of the blades is antique oak? I think so. My Panama has antique oak blades and they look pretty similar to that in the photograph. I didn't take the pictures, I never saw the fan in person. That having been said, I'm colorblind so you'll probably be able to tell better than me!

I have a 2012 Panama in my bedroom, the bearings are noisy. Its powerful for sure, but I don't think the quality is there as much as it used to be. The brackets aren't as sturdy as I think they should be either. I hope it lasts for many years, it sure wasn't cheap. It gets its use though, it runs continuously during the winter and daily during summer.
