Every year, my family and I go on a trip to Maine. On the way there, we stop at this store which is really in lousy condition, but it has some fans. They have had the same fans since I've been going there, which is probably over 5 years now. There is 1 decent Hampton Bay fan, and I think 5 cheap huggers, I can't tell if they're 36 inch or 42 inch. They seem to go too fast to be 42 inch. They all used to have lights, but this year they seem to have removed the lights, but in a very odd fashion, they didn't use a switch cap but seem to have removed the light fixture itself from the mounting plate. The cheap huggers used to have single schoolhouse globes on them, and the 5 bladed hugger had I think a 4 light kit on it. I think the 5 blade one may be a Hampton Bay Carriage House (an early one)?
Since I couldn't get a picture of the entire store itself, I'll just have to explain the configuration the fans are installed at. The Hampton Bay is in the center of the store, it runs on downdraft low. I think this one has been there before the other ones. Surrounding it are 4 of those 4 bladed huggers, one in every corner of the store. There is one more 4 blade hugger at the front of the store above the register. The huggers run on all different speeds in different directions, and one is off. None of them really move any air, they're all filthy. I'm surprised they're all still going after this long. There was also one Lasko pedestal fan behind the counter, supplementing the useless ceiling fan. Could't get a photograph of that one.
These pictures were taken with my phone, so I digitally enlarged them. Please excuse the shoddy quality; at least it matches the fans
Leave a comment or question if you have one, any information on these fans would be great!
