In recent years, Hunter has been reusing older, retired names for their new fans. Here's the list:
Regalia: Now a 5-bladed 60" fan with Perfect Balance
Greenwich: Now a 5-bladed 56" Stratford variant with a finial on the center cap
Bridgeport: Now a 5-bladed indoor or outdoor builderfan
Infiniti: Now a 3-bladed, oddly-shaped contemporary hugger
Studio Series: Now a more generic looking builderfan with a light kit
This bugs the heck out of me. I think they could come up with more original names. If you're going to use a recycled name for a fan, at least make it look like its predecessor but sort of restyled. Your opinion?

I bet these Hunters are still better than what Walmart/Kmart sells.

I think that most people buying these fans don't know/care that these are recycled names

Most people are after modern designs.. I agree they don't care.. It's all about name and the name has been turned into junk long ago.. After a few years of use, it breaks, gets recycled, and another one is bought..

Not to mention that Casablanca has taken a few of Hunter's previous Prestige Collection fans and slapped Casablanca badges on them.

I did see a 3 blade Infiniti, but it has a downrod. Good thing I might be getting an older Infiniti from a house that looks like is being demolished. By the way, another recycled names are Oasis (which I saw in ACE Hardware), and Seville (Royal Palm).

They never had a 3 blade Infiniti with a down rod... the hugger Infiniti has a large housing.

Think of it this way, if you or I were the average buyer, all we'd want a fan that looks good and blows some air. We wouldn't care that these were some "ugly" brass fans back in 199-something.

You can tell the 2000s started when Hunter started doing away with an abundance of their 'classic' models; the ones we knew and loved.

Along with what Zachary and Adam said, its probably much cheaper to recycle names then to register/trademark new model names.
