Post your installs of this year... I just installed my Caribbean Electric GE Vent Early 1980s Five Blade ceiling fan in the spare bedroom.. I don't have power up to it yet, went into the attic and measured for beam.. Haven't decided if I'm going to run romex wire or do a swag kit..

I installed my Studio Series Remote in my bedroom. It was my first major electrical project, having to run Romex across the ceiling.

Very nice Adam. I love this fan. It's beautifully chunky. It's so rare that we see installs of you other than in your famous test spot. Do you have a fan on your own bedroom? Here's mine. The very nice 1982 Casablanca Zephyr Slumber Quiet I found locally last December is installed in my bedroom since mid January 2014. The very slow speed is perfect for the winter. It's works very well and I'm proud of what I've been able to do on the blades to flatten them. The ceiling has been repainted last June.

Nice Jean and Daniel.. I do, The variable speed TAT Deluxe, which is on the site photoed in my room.. It's got real noisy bearings.. It also has an usual top where the spinner top part of the motor is exposed.. I don't know why I never took photos of the top of it..

It's like this.. Don't mind the dust.. I haven't cleaned it.. Funny how I never noticed the blue tag, and I've had this fan for over 10 years.. Where the blue tag is, is the top part of the spinner motor and you can see it spinning.. I've had it installed in this location pretty much for 10 years, and ran for about that long usually with the variable speed control at med speed.. There is no buzz neither runs very quiet other than the bearing noise that developed..

There is no buzz neither runs very quiet other than the bearing noise that developed.. Intresting. It's opened like on an early stack motor fan. I believe other vintage direct drives with housing had this opening. Like Tyeb perhaps. 10 years is a long time for a vintage fan found and not originally purchased in it's time considering all the other vintage fans you have. That must have been one of your early finds around 2003-2004 when the site started. I'm surprised the variable speed does not make it hum. A bearing noise is nothing annoying next to a buzz and it usually can be solved by pouring oil in the bottom bearing when the fan is upside down. Maybe you could make a video of that one if it doesn't bother you to film inside your house. It would also give a different background to your videos.

Ya, it's around 2004 when I installed it.. I think I bought it in 2003, when my local Faith Farm kept getting neat stuff in.. I'll probably end up replacing the bearings.. I oiled them already and made no difference.. Than I'll probably do a video of it in the garage.. The top being exposed like that is probably not good for the bearings as the space dust can get right into them..

I just watched your video and I love the layout of that house and the nice high ceiling in the living room.. Defiantly some interesting fans.. Thanks Adam that living room fan is totally pieced together from spare parts, Emerson k55xl motor, inside of litex Arlington(emperor knock off) housing, balded arms are from that fan also. Blades off a codep AB hugger that had motor issues.... Switch housing off a litex New Orleans, again motor issues, its actually a 56" fan since the arms are long ones and the blades were meant for short ones, also I believe you had a palco motor like mine, but missing the blades, that is my only vented spinner, I think.

So far nothing particularly vintage, but I'm working on it! I plan to install: - A 52" Hunter Original in Brushed Nickel - Living Room
- A 52" Casablanca Panama in Brushed Nickel - Master Bedroom
[/b][/ul] - A Casablanca Ventura, with homemade 30" cherry blades and custom finished Brushed Nickel - Den

Here are some of my installs from 2014 starting with most recent: The Emerson I got for free about a year ago and it came just as you see it. I was bored and decided to give the Legacy an install with a schoolhouse light this time. The Hunter Studio Series Remote I got on trade from Dan.
