one of the fans obtained from the scrapyard, now looking like its fully new! this is one of the oldest of the union fans i have since it has a 4.75 uF capacitor (not the usual 4 uF that unions here usually have) and metallic canopies.. i am not sure about the dating of the fan, but i found in some website that union has started in around 1974, this fan could be somewhere in the mid 70s i believe the fan makes some unusual sounds when i start operating it, but when i operate it after having it operated for a long time, it operates silently the ABC label was taken from another canopy which i set it as a spare for other unions blades of this fan is a spare blade set video coming soon

It almost looks like the motor casing isn't closed together all the way.

These are among my favorite fans,
The ones in the US are different in 2 ways:
1. The screws arent visible on the bottom of the motor 2. The top of the motor is a different shape.
I see what Andrew is saying. Are you sure the two halves arent supposed to touch?

The ones here, they touch and a gold stripe covers the same.
Dayton/Marley/Westinghouse/Weatherites, there is an actual gap, filled in with a plastic ring.

The top of the motor is a different shape. Actually, the upper casings of the ones I've seen have that same shape.

Those in your picture are identical to mine. When you see them up close, the top looks different than Tais's.
