My brother has rented a super cheap (550/mo) 3 bedroom house in a nearby neighborhood known as "Camelot 2" (google it, see its reputation). Initially it had these fans in it 52" Walmart Fan in the dining room, set to fall off the ceiling Funked up 42" Walmart Fan in the front bedroom 52" Golden Fan in the Master Bedroom hooked up to a light switch (one speed) Now it has these: The living, dining, and kitchen areas all have the Litex Ellingtons I get from work Master Bedroom has a temporary install of a Hampton Bay Huntington, when he moves in, his Hampton Bay Plaza will be installed here Front Bedroom still has the Walmart fan but I straightened the blades out Middle bedroom has this GEV fan, also from work

Around here you can't get a 1 bedroom in the hood for 550! I'm very jealous.
I like the GEV.
Can't wait to see the Golden Fan cleaned up.

If it were managed properly it could rent for close to $700-800/mo. The Golden Fan is now my property lol

You put him mostly cheaper fans because he doesn't take care of them?
You did a really good job on the Wal-Mart fan brackets. I'm surprised that none of them broke.
You have another spinner very similar to this but with different badges and apparently different labels. Does it work well? It must have been very inconvenient to have it on a regular switch. Theses are insane on high. Unless he's a fan destroyer, I would have changed the switch rather than changing the fan.

He got crap fans because he's going to be living there with 3 other guys and none of them really care about anything. Plus it's a rental and I see him leaving them behind when he moves out. I have an almost unlimited supply of those silver Litex fans LOL
That GEV fan is super crappy, the Litex fans perform better...also one of the brackets is a silver one for a Litex fan...during its history in an apartment at the complex I work at, one of the arms broke off and we had to improvise

Whoa! That much? How come you have access to so many of theses Ellingtons? They all want them removed in the apartments complex? It's useful for situations like this where you need to put something but you don't want to put something quality.

The Litexes (and the GEV) all came from the apartment complex I work at. Instructions from the company that owns it is to take down the fans in the empty apartments and put up an ugly boob shaped light fixture. The fans would normally be thrown out but I save them for just such an occasion. Most of the apartments have those Litexes, some have Hunter builder fans with seashell blade arms and I think only one apartment now has old fans from the 80s
