Those are both GREAT finds. Particularly the Ritz fan. The older Ritz ceiling fans are absolutely great finds for any collector to have, they're incrediably well made, and some of the oldest import fans . . . very simple in design, but very unique all the same. This is the most ornate version I've seen. I hope one of us bids on it . . . I would, except I already have 3 Ritz fans and they are as heavy as a Hunter original-- shipping this one from CA to me would cost a fortune.

I don't think that Montgomery Ward is not 40 years old.

Sorry, I don't know. I just repeated what it said in the eBay auction.
And what's up with the spelling of eBay? It always was "eBay", but now they put it as "ebay".

That montgomery ward (really evergo or envirofan) fan was probably made aroubnd 1978-1983, meaning the fan is barely twenty-five years old, not fourty.

I have several of those fans, all labeled as being made by different companies . . . the closest I've been able to tag as dating them is mid-late 70s. They're definitely pre-1981. They're quite good fans. BTW the best industrial fans ever, IMO, were the Envirofans (some labeled Union) which had very much the same motor. I pulled 10 out of a grocery store being torn down.
