Here's some 80s videos that has some ceiling fans.. If you watched MTV and VH-1 back in those days or even in the 90s, you probably saw these..
Looks to be a Hunter Original in this one... Looks to have a bent blade, also looks rigged up for the set.
A Duran Duran video with some overseas Fans
Here's another that looks overseas.. I bet it's made by GE of Singapore seeing how it almost looks like a Moss Caribbean Breeze prototype.. Appears in alot of scenes throughout the video.. Has bent blades

Love this topic! Kinda fits into the media topic, but there are so many it nearly warrants its own thread.
I've got a few more recent ones, I've seen a number of older ones (Take On Me comes to mind of course) but would have to think more to remember them all
Cool metal blade spinner in this 1999 Robyn video, shows up a few times throughout
Of course the emperor style fan in No Doubt's "Trapped in a Box". With 16:9 ratio the fan unfortunately gets a bit more cut off than it originally was
Probably not of interest to Adam, but a Hunter Cedonia and a few antique desk fans in Avril Lavigne's "What the Hell"

I think we had a thread about this a long time ago.
Humm yes I remember that Duran Duran video. It was filmed in Sri Lanka. I think some of the fans are GEC's.
That's interesting about that Genesis video. They show us at the end that it's a movie set. In their clip Mama we see the same fan with the bent blade in the same decor.
The metal blade spinner seems to be a 90 cm Thai fan. It's probably a Lucky. The canopies can vary on these.
There's the Crompton Parkinson V in the mid 1980's Take On Me video.

Robyn in 1999.. Before she started doing more dance tracks.. Funny how the spinner in that video with the lower canopy in the first shot is fitted perfectly, and the last shot it's on crooked.. and the ceiling fan dangles like someone is holding it..

Ya Phil Collins with Genesis and those videos, are great.. I did not know they used the same scene in two different videos, but I also never saw the video to Mama.. That's defiantly one of those GE from Singapore.. It's probably filmed overseas and is 220v.. A-ha Take On Me, Who can't forget that one.. I think that was filmed in England...

Haha yeah! I love something from just about every era of Robyn, she's so cool. Yes I thought it was interesting how the canopy changed as well.

Something local. The 2005 clip of the song Les marchands de rêves from Corneille have a ceiling fan at the beginning of it in the laundromat. It's a small spinner with three straight metal blades. It seems to use bigger cylinder canopies so it might be a 4 Seasons but with a cylinder canopy instead of a flat one. This clip like a lot of other Corneille clips was filmed in Montreal. It's probably this in white with a cylinder canopy.

It's not a music video but a Nintendo commercial that features the Japanese song Hatsukoi by Mayumi Kojima. It's a Nintendo commercial that was on television around October 2003. It was filmed in Hong Kong. At the beginning you can see two SMC K56 spinning slowly in the classroom. There's a little mistake though. Later there's a closeup on one of the fan and it's spinning faster than it was a few secs ago.

Nice!! Didnt expect that from nintendo
i wonder how old the video is but the SMC K56 is after 1986 since the blades r narrower and the upper canopy is just like today's SMC.. there is also a possibility they r from the 90s but i am not sure about the motor size.. The fan specs are more noticeable after the chalk screech scene when the camera was focused on the fan for a short time
