I saw that hugger at a thrift shop in brass. although, I passed it up for a Hunter Studio Series remote and a Potomic fan.
And yes, hunter still makes the 42'' Original fan.

The Potomic fan was sold exclusively at Hechinger and HQ stores . It looks like the Coastal Breeze Fan but with slightly different vents. They were made up until the store went out of business.

Never heard of the stores either. Could you email me with a pic? mtneuman@mailbag.com Of the fan, not the store

In other words, I thought that the 42'' Originals always had a motor like the new Hunter Original motors do now.

36" and 42" Originals had a smaller version of the American Made Originals.

In other words, I thought that the 42'' Originals always had a motor like the new Hunter Original motors do now. No, they were just a smaller version of the real thing. I have a 36" model, from the late 70s or early 80s I believe. Real good fan.
