I go to this bar every now and then, i knew they had an original hanging over the billiard table, i had my eye on it for a while because i had a feeling they were going to replace it. went there one night and noticed it was gone, right away i went around back and there it was sitting on the ground. it needed a canopy, pull chain, and was VERY dirty. it had about a 3 foot down rod since it was hung with a drop-ceiling. cleaned up well though. looks to be about a 1978 or 1979 Original, ill have to get a pic of the tag so we can decode the date, obviously has the pre-1984 blade brackets.

Great save! I'd hate to see a fan like that end up in a landfill.

The way the screws are in the flywheel would suggest they weren't trying to throw it away. I would've asked if I could take it. Just me though.
