I will tell you this much: most hunters are made in Taiwan. Though if it doesn't say made in Taiwan, then most likely it was made in the good ol' u s of a (: #postfail +1

The fan in question is a true Hunter Original fan, I know this because I have two just like it.
They are actually 60" and not the normal 52" fan but with the same motor.
The were only made in the mid 80's 1984 / 1988 and were ONLY sold at Home Depot.
The fan is definitely rare but if you look up Hunter Original 60" you can find more information on them. Brian Hicks had interesting videos about them on Youtube that you might enjoy.
I spent a lot of time speaking with people at Hunter who had no idea they actually made 60" fans. I had them flat out argue and be rude to me. I spoke with a supervisor and sent him photos of my fan to his personal email and he researched it for me.
Turns out about a week later he apologized for the way I was treated and admitted that in fact Hunter did make 60" Originals for a very short time in the mid 80's.
He then promptly told me they had no actual information other than it is a true Hunter fan and the motor is the same as the 52" so the parts should work. The have records of making the fans but no owners manuals or any other information.
It is a waste of time trying to get information out of them because they simply do not have any.
I have reached out the Brian Hicks and he seems to be a nice guy and will try to help.
