I was thinking the same thing It's funny too because I really like top mounts. I think the fifth pic down is a really odd placement for a fan, it really only does any good over whoever's sitting in that chair.

I've seen that a lot, especially in homes belonging to elderly couples! The fans are ALWAYS on swag kits!

When I first had my Oak Dixie Belle installed back in 1988/89 (don't remember when exactly) it had a swag kit. When I got my Atlantic Air top mount spinner from K-mart in 1994 I helped my dad install that one and we put a wall switch in for it.

The last pic isn't too bad design wise. The rest of the pictures look straight out of the 1970s. But that isn't a bad thing though. =P
