I cant believe it, this video has the LEAST views in it's first day as any of my public ceiling fan videos! Everyone was begging for this, I delivered, and now crickets? Still no idea why my community center video has 23k views, and the rest of my videos have less than 10k, even ones that have been around YEARS longer. I did view this video, and gave it thumbs up.

I've done some quite interesting videos that I think that will be helpful and interesting, but sometimes I wonder if it's only me who finds them interesting.. I had to disable the thumbs up/down because I'm getting alot of thumbs down..

Does thumbs down hurt anything though? I've gotten a few too.

I guess what I'm asking is, can "thumbs down" cause me to make less money? If not I dont care.

I don't think it hurts anything as far as the videos or making money.. Sometimes I wonder why they even have the thumbs system..

Hehe no the like or dislike feature will not make that you will have less money or not. People have to click on your ads so that it can generates money.
I've had a few people that were asking about videos of a certain fans notably from Tais, Mike K and Richie and once the video was uploaded they did not even commented or gave any sign that they watched the video.
It seems what is making more views on You Tube are popular brands like SMC, Canarm, Hunter, Casablanca, Hampton Bay, Harbor Breeze etc. I though that older fans made more views but no not necessarily. Sometimes the newer the fan is the more comments it generates because it's from the present and younger people knows about them. Young people do not know older fans well.
More views does not necessarily means more money.

More views does not necessarily means more money. Sorta like when we were younger, except we didn't have Youtube and the internet at their age.. Plus there is no where for them, seeing how the fans they know and like are not something of "Collectable".. Youtube is the only place they can post and comment.. That's what I'm guessing..

People dont have to click on the pre, mid, and post-roll ads to make money.
Thumbs up/down do affect the placement of your video in search results.
Apparently you can buy views and thumbs up. I'm tempted, but I want to be able to see how the videos do for real.

Now by simply viewing the video it bring profit to the person? It sound a little too easy. Ewww! That would be a very fake thing to do to buy views and some likes.

You're right about that, It's defiantly a fake thing.. Some of these blog videos on Youtube I've seen go up over a million.. Makes you kinda wonder.. I know vBulliten has a plugin that shows fake (or current) users always online to lure more users..

The ads DURING the video you get paid either way, I believe. The ones on the sides have to be clicked.

What's unusual about them other than the fact they're 42" or smaller?

That's it. I had seen NO EVIDENCE AT ALL they came in any size other than 52". Not to mention the proportions are TERRIBLE. But these are clearly factory.
