I have added a few things to my Tara Quest page to make Tara-spotting a little easier for everyone. 1. The sketch I posted so many months ago, that started this whole trouble 2. Some samples of characteristics of other fans similar to that of the Tara. I posted a direct comparison between the Tara canopy and a more standard bell canopy, since lots of people didnt seem to be able to spot the difference. I also added a clip of sample blade irons and vent holes that supposedly look just like the Tara's What would be great is if I had a picture of a Tara. But would would be greater is if I had the fan itself. Thank everyone who's helping! Here are where the updates are posted: www.geocities.com/mt_spiffy/

This is the only info I've run across on the Tara: www.faninfo.com/tara_ceiling_fans.htmlMaybe you could order parts from them and reconstruct it? I don't know anything about that company's reliability though, or their prices; though I suspect, in the case of the Tara you'd be willing to spend a little more.

I've called him . . . the only parts he has are generic parts, like flywheels and speed controls. But he's supposedly going to grab any Tara fans he finds for me. No idea how much he'll charge me.
