Hey fellas..As many of you know,I had a storage of ceiling fans and they were damaged by the recent hurricane. I was able to save alot but some was rusted and wet. Lost alot of blades and motors but I did get all my originals out, Casablanca,most emersons,hunters etc with alot of blades out. I actually forgot what I had in there. I was happy I salvage through it all cause It would've been a trashed! Well here are some pictures... Laguna on roof....ugh!!!  where roof came off...I did take the Nutone.  The Nutone and Sears...I did take them  Originals   some others  salvage out what I can  some stuff I took...there's more than this I have. Just not pictured       New room were fans are...they have been organized better. Had to hurry and get all I can out. I did had help moving...  more pictures to come.... |

Wow, that must've been rough!
I'm glad to hear that you were able to salvage what you did which looks like a good bit.

My gosh this is terrible. Shame to see this happen to you and those fans. That Laguna on the roof is especially gruesome.

richard can u get that laguna that was on the roof if so that can be easily repaired i can get u some more cane blades for it if the blades r broken i saw 2 that looked to be intact

IT WAS HELL BUT I GOT WHAT I CAN SALVAGE. THE LAGUNA ON THE ROOF I DID'NT WORRY ABOUT. I HAVE A FEW OF THEM ALREADY. I WILL BE IN THE NEW ONE SATURDAY DOING SOME WORK.

Oh Jesus.. How did that Laguna get on the roof? Looks like damage from a tornado.. A Cat one hurricane would not do all that damage.. They would have been safer if they were uninstalled and disassembled.. Looks like the only damage is blade damage.. We got tropical storm winds from Hurricane Isaac.. The Cat two and three hurricanes of 2004-05 we got, I took all the fans down in the garage in case the roof was compromised..

Eugh! I saw your post on Facebook and I was very sad about it but I'm happy to se that it seems you been able to save a lot of them.
Did you lost a lot of them?
Just like Adam, I wonder how the Laguna got through the roof.

Jean,Well,I did loose alot in there cause it was too much water...I was able to save about 35% of the storage which is good though. Most of them were my originals and alot of blades,globes,glasses,parts and a few cheapos...Adam,that was one of the fans hanging on the ceiling when the roof came up and a tornado did do that. But I think I saw it today. Ima go see if I can get it tomorrow. Rick,I was gonna let everything go but I fish through it and got out alot. I even forgot i hand certain fans in there! But Got it all. Jeremy Yes Im grateful to be alive. God is the reason!! Yes that is a Codep! and yup that's a emerson friction drive. mint condition with the string. Kelly,I will check and see if it's there. The room has been cleaned out and I think they scrap the motors cause I saw alot of blades today in the pile. Not one motor was seen. I did this today...  |
