www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Casablanca-Fan-Company-52-Ceiling-Fan-20th-Century-Ltd-/221097991630?pt=Ceiling_Fan&hash=item337a779dceThis seller has a 20th Century Limited, to which he fitted a new motor with Inteli-Touch (and possibly removed the light sockets?) My question is: the motor seems to be deep up inside the housing. Aren't the 20th Century brackets too shallow to reach up in and attach, or am I misjudging their curve? I love this model, but I'm not bidding. If I was, though, I'd remove the old switches, use the variable-speed mounting hole to attach some sort of flat cover, and add sockets with Uno shade fitters to hold some of my antique shades.

I love these all-around. If Dan ever considers trading it, I'd love to get that and hang it in my living room in place of the fan that's there now, which is a knockoff of a Casa Artisan (with the conical mica shade) that my dad bought - though admittedly, and surprisingly, I do like that fan a little bit.

That's Adrian's fan, he wouldn't sell something like that nonfunctional. If you look closely, the brackets are really deep where they attach to a flywheel, not thin like usual arms. It'll work fine, the flywheel is supposed to be up in there further.

Worst comes to worst, I guess I'd use standard brackets...

Good to know! I'm glad it's all set, and it's really pretty.
