I went to www.eceilingfans.com and they told me they had a switch housing cap for my Lasko from Dan. I was wondering if they did just for my own curioisty. HOWEVER, that little, thin sheet of metal, would cost $32.20 to ship!!! yes, as in over $32! They have a minimum shipping cost, and that is it. And that doesn't include the price of the part which the guy never told me! What bullstuff! That thing could fit in any envelop, and he wouldn't give me a break. Oh well, just thought I would share. The site is great if you need any type of flywheel or blade arms, but be prepared to pay an arm and a leg! Just thought I would let everyone know. Raymond

I would take Pierce up on his offer if I was you, and even if I was me.
I have yet to find a decent source of these things, I'm sure there's one to be found, since all it is is a flat piece of metal with two holes drilled in it. Surely some metal shop or hardware store offers something that would suffice for $2 a piece, or something, but I havent found it yet.

That Mike Evans is a total creep.
He doesn't have half of the parts that are shown in the website., my insurance co. paid $49.20 for an Atlantis glass bowl. About a year ago i asked him for The flywheels and he sell them for the low price of $49.00 plus shipping.
Another time was a W-11 switch, he said the cost was $200.00, and i had to wait 4-weeks because it was **vintage** and he needed time to special ordered from Casablanca.
And that's not all, i've heard he keeps the fans people send him for repairs., if they're good brands and in excellent condition, he'll use them for parts.
When the owners enquiry about the repair status, he and his wife or whoever answers the phone claim they haven't receive anything, leaving the victims without their fans.

That Mike Evans is a total creep. Mr. Mike has claimed to know an awful lot about Taras, and is supposed to call me if he hears about one or get one in. Wonder how much he'll try to charge me for it.

Yeah I agree. I would just save alot of money just incase how much that they fan is going to cost. But be careful though he might try to charge you too much.

I'm selling a lot of my collection to contribute to my Tara Fund . . . I dont expect them to cost too much, they're really not worth anything to anyone but me . . . but you never know, someone might get the bright idea to try and charge me an awful lot of money . . . we'll see. I want these fans, but I'm no sucker.
