Nice pics! ONLY two ceiling fans for a THAT large room and they did not even put longer downroads! To me these fans are ugly, the 4 blades ones with switch housing are better. But they fit/looks good in that setting. It looks like they have been repaint. What kind of control do they use?. This is very typical of a late 70s install, the two fans on either end with short downrods. These fans have not been painted, note the stickers on the side. Emerson typically offered variable speed controls for these. You can call them ugly if you want to but they are many collectors' favorite fan.

Yeah, only one was on. They were in the same room. My dad, my brother and I visited there on Monday, nothing to do. I remember seeing fans there when I visited a long time ago, but I didn't remember what they were.

Did you spot the controls for the fans?

No, there were a hell of a lot of people in the room.

The fans aren't repainted. The blades on these particular blenders are white fibergalss (which is unusual in itself). Fiberglass doesn't yellow, like plastic blades do.

Andrew is correct.
I like that Tribeca without the switch housing.

I like the exposed motor in the Hunter.

I just said that they LOOKS repaint because they are pure white and not ivory. That would mean that fiberglass blades are better than plastic blades on these fans? Even if they often have a ugly marble brown color. I often see Hampton Bay Gazebo with yellowish blades. Its wierd the AirMax motor on the Hunter Tribeca is half exposed

I like the fiberglass blades better than the plastic ones. They look better and dont droop. And they're aerodynamic.

How are they more aerodynamic? It's the same shape as the fake wood ones. Unless you're talking about the strato-jet style...

The top of the blade has a molded shape. I'll get a picture eventually.
