It looks cool but since the fan already have brass brackets but a white bottom plate, you should have left the switch housing brass. It would have looked even better and it would have add more brass on the fan.
I love the tight wave cane on this fan.

I spray painted over the brass because I wanted to keep it the same color as the original switch housing.

You may want to sand down the switch housing plus cap and repaint it with a couple of light coats... The "15 min in between coats procedure"..

I apologize for the LONG procrastination, but I decided to screw it with the spray painting and go with brass, as suggested. The switch cap/housing, and downrod came from a later NuTone Decorator. I couldn't use the CEI parts, as when I was sanding off the paint, the brass came off too. Do y'all think I should stick with the original canopy, or go brass with that? I just need to wire it and it should be considered done!

I was wiring it today. I fired it up and it just hummed. I opened up the switch housing to find two wires I forgot to connect. I connected those and tried again. Only this time, it didn't hum or move at all.
I'm thinking I may have caused an electrical shortage from the loose wiring. I did notice a motor screw was screwed in too far, maybe that killed it. On the other hand, at least it wasn't a quality motor.
I parted it out, so no install pics. I apologize in advance for letting anyone's hopes up.

Did you put the switch housing, cap, and down rod back on the Decorator?

I parted out the Decorator. I'm trying to clean stuff out.
