i have 2 USHAs obtained from the workshop, both are pulsar model dated june 1997... they both had trouble in acceleration when accelerating to full speed plus their motor overheats up very abnormally here is one of them before obtaining it (fan 2) after obtaining it (fan 2) i've always wondered what was wrong with the fan and tried my best oiling the bearings, applying WD40, balancing the blades but i see there was no use... later on i came up with a thought about capacitor, the higher the value after the peak, the slower the fan spins (based on what i saw with this crompton parkinsonsince it was replaced by a higher capacitor) i didn't have any spare low value capacitor except 1.5 uF, i replaced the 2.25 uF capacitor with the 1.5 uF one, there was a huge difference in performance, it spinned much faster and the motor didn't heat up as much as it used to.. it seemed that around 1.5 or 1.6 uF is the peak value of this fan model here is a video, notice the difference in performance
