Funny you mention tripping the outlet, my PB WIND II kicked out my Saturn light sometimes when I changed speed during testing (in the video, the Saturn light is off at some points to avoid it turning off in the vid). Something whacky going on between the IT and the WIND... Guess it just happens with some fans.

Looks like it goes really fast for a K55 Emerson (even some of the K63's)... even the medium which you describe as being fairly slow is at least as fast as, if not a bit faster than, the typical medium most of these had.
Maybe it's because it is upside down? I've had several fans run at a different speed than normal whenever I've tested them upside down or sideways before; no idea why. Maybe I'm just crazy.

Yeah, the medium is actually pretty fast. I guess it just seemed slow to me since a lot of my 42" fans have fast mediums. Seems to run pretty well even with the smaller motor.

I think it's possible that upside down they can run faster mostly because the weight of the blades is setting on the motor instead of having it being pulled down like when it's installed. Sideways I would imagine that they should spin slower.
