Thanks for making a video of this one. I commented on it.
Sad that your not gonna make anymore of theses videos. I really enjoyed watching them. Are you stopping because not enough peoples are commenting and viewing or because it takes too much of your time to make theses videos?

I'm stopping them because it's too much work for the very little views they get, and no one seems to comment on them as far as posting them here on the forums.. That's one reason why I hardly ever post links to them on here.. Very few seems to appreciate them, so why bother..

i do watch your videos and enjoy them but i rarely comment in youtube... usually my uploaded videos have low views, but i noticed that within time, views per day increases.. many of the ones uploaded in 2010 topped 2000 views... however, i haven't recieved comments for quite a long time.. a little appreciation is better than nothing, don't give up
i suggest making the fan videos shorter than usual and omit the period the fan takes to come to a stop if it takes more than 2 minutes.. i also suggest not to put lots of work on the end part of the video... some people wouldn't want to watch a very long video showcasing one fan... just some suggestions from my point of view..

I agree with Tais. I find the extra stuff you do at the end of the videos extremely unnessisary. Adam, you do an amazing job of editing your videos, I will not lie. But here are my suggestions to get more views: -Still do put titles and closing credits, and the VCF logo on the bottom. Keep the music and the pictures of the fan in videos. -Still do walk arounds showing NIB fans and parts still in their wrapping. -Each speed should be shown for 30 seconds. -I find showing the speeds in reverse unnessisary. Visually it doesn't make a difference. -Don't do walk around views, or show the sound if the airflow. The main reason why we watch fan videos is to see it running. -2-3 minutes is plenty of time for a fan video. I would not go beyond 5. So please don't discontinue videos. Just follow my suggestions above and you should be in good order. PM me if you have any questions. I hope my suggestions help.

Yeah don't quit making videos, they are the most professional CF videos Ive seen. Just make them short and sweet. Long videos usually turn off most people. I'm trying to shorten my videos as well and not blab too much son some things not even related to the fan being shown.

I do agree about long videos.. Sometimes, depending on the video, I scan forward.. My videos are predicting, seeing how the scenes are pretty much in the same order, you can always skip past the spin down.. I always like shooting closeups with the fan powered on and off.. Some people like to hear the motor buzzing..

I really like these videos too...sorry if I don't comment much (I actually DO watch a lot of them). Just cut down on how long they are maybe...seems like people are more likely to watch 2-3 minute fan videos than 5-10 minute ones.

Some advises given here good, some are not. I agree that your videos are long but I prefer longer videos over shorter ones. In 2-4mins we don't have time to see anything and it does not look professional when it's filmed too quickly. Plus of course we cannot get absorb enough by what your showing. The best is to stay between 6 to 10 mins.
The two things that you should really cut is showing the spin down time and showing reverse. Theses two things are useless. Other than that are videos are some of the best out there. Keep showing closeups of the fans when they are spinning and the sound of the airflow. Since you do montage anyway and not a cheap single take video, take that advantage to have shots from various angles and proximity of the fan. You camera is not stick in cement.

I enjoy the videos as well, but like Tais I don't get around to a lot of commenting on Youtube unfortunately.
Unlike Jean, I like a short video. Not that I don't watch longer ones because I do, but a "cheap single take" shows me all that I really need to see in the course of about three minutes. I'd say if you could somehow maintain a nice intro, but pare down on other time consuming parts of the video, you'd have something very good, and people with less time on their hands would hopefully be able to actually watch more with a briefer video on their hands. I personally think the YT channel is nice in connection with the site, and I added it as the first option under supported channels in my channel to try to get more people in there. Having a regularly updated channel like that could be beneficial to the site in the long run, just another place for us to get our name out there.

I'm still going to continue uploading videos.. I may take a break and not upload as many in the next few weeks.. I think it's best to show as much detail as possible, both running and not running.. If the videos are too long for some, skip past the scenes such as the spin down, speeds etc.. Youtube should come up with a way to split scenes, and mark them to jump to scenes, like a DVD does with chapters..
