Since about two years now I have a Kijiji AD telling that I'm looking for a certain type of 1980s 4 Seasons ceiling fan with four metal curved blades. Last week I finally had someone calling me to tell me that he has the same exact fan that I was looking for with the original wall control. He said it looked exactly like the one on my picture. Here's my AD for those who don't remember it:

I just modified it and added the picture of the fan I just got. Before it only had the two other pictures.
I went to get the fan today and it was exactly the model I'm looking for. It's dated of 1980. It's my oldest 4 Seasons. I expected it to be a little bit older than the wooden blades models. I was told it has been taken down since 1996 so it hasn't ran a lot. It does indeed work very well and it's very quiet. Only on higher speeds, some dust can be heard clicking in the bearing due to the long years of storage.
The paint is in very good condition, it's still glossy. It's not yellowed, it's made to be ivory like a lot of other 4 Seasons are. Both of the canopies are plastic. It's my first fan with a cylinder upper canopy. When I got it the canopies were inversed. The top one which is wider was on the bottom and vis versa. I changed them of course and the lower canopy does not fit very well on it. It's bent on one side. It may sound stupid but it seems that the capacitor inside the lower canopy is to big for the tighter lower canopy. It's got the same big cylinder shape capacitor that the 42''-52'' wood blade models have. Still the lower canopy does not look that bad crooked on one side. It does not even show much on my pictures. It's still look a lot better than the lower canopy at the place of the bottom. That really looked silly.
It came with it's original five-speed wall control. It's brown. It made a little bit differently than the white 1982 version I got. The 1980 version has more vents and holes on it, it has a screw on the middle and the transformer inside is even bigger than the one in the white one so it's even heavier. I think the white one is already heavy enough like that. The white one is snap-on, that's why it has no screw on the front. The sticker on it is also different than my white 1982 version. This one is orange (faded), the 1982 one has shiny gold lettering. It did not came with black wires on the back of it so I added some. The knob is very stiff to turn.
The owner originally purchases a brown control because he had it installed on a wooden wall. (log cabin style)
I tried it with both this original control and my four-speed slider and it's very quiet with both control. Contrary to the Evergo control, this one does not add any noise to the fan.
The only thing I don't like about it is that it's a fan that runs on RPM's. With both controls the slowest setting is about 90-100RPM's. It's very powerful of course. Over 300RPM's on full speed.
It came with a special type of mounting that can only be mounted on a electrical box. My 1981 42'' 4 Seasons Classic that repainted in brown also came with this same special type of mounting. Since I don't have an electrical box for my test spot, I had to convert it to double claw temporary.
Even though it said 36''-48'' on the motors of my two 1981 wood bladed models, this one has a smaller motor made especially for 36'' blade span. The sticker is rated only for 36'' blade span. The bigger motor should have been marked 42''-52'' instead.
