Clay, my maximum would probably be between $300-350, but only if it was a quality item. But I'll have to agree about the K55! What is the most you have ever paid for a fan?

Upwards of $300 probably. Gotta be quality though. The thing is, you can still get a great fan at way below retail with eBay and such that you don't have to pay those kinds of prices.
I think my most expensive was the Archive Original at just a bit under $400 without tax, a little over $400 with tax. Don't think I'll ever spend that kind of money on a fan again unless it's something really spectacular, like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Well it depends if the fan is NIB or not and it also depends where it's bought. In a showroom most of stack motors fans, especially Casablanca are easily 500$. So I hope your 200$ max for a stack motor fan was for a fan that it not brand new out of the showroom otherwise it's getting hard to find stack motor brand new for less than 200$. If it's NOS and/or a clearance sale it's a different story.
For a used fan my max is about 150$. At least I still haven't paid that for a used fan. Actually in all the fans I have I have only one that I paid above 150$. It was the brand new fresh out of the showroom Casablanca Panama I bought in 2009.
The factors for used fans are the condition(missing parts or not goes in that), the rarity and the quality.

For me, it would have to depend on how badly I wanted the fan and what condition it was in.
For example, I paid $40 on CL for a Hunter Villa Series, but it had been a model I was seeking after, hence it was worth it.
I paid about $80 for an NOS brown 52" Emerson 1895 series back in 2005.
$50 for a NIB Casablanca Delta II sans blades

depends on the fan itself and it's condition,
for used fans: usually industrials here are at an average of 100 dirhams, i would go for 60 or less for used ones, for decorative fans, i would go for 150 or less if used
i paid 60 dirhams for bajaj and 80 dirhans for amasco galaxy
for new fans: also depends, i wouldn't buy any mainstream fans AKA widely seen fans, i would buy whatever can't be found anywhere except that place or weird nice looking ones, such as the veto 24" fan, 100 dhs for industrials, 300 dhs for decorative, in some cases i will increase
i paid 90 dirhams for premier, 85 for CG whirlwind, 250 for majestic deluxe and 90 for veto ceiling fans i don't really like to BUY fans, coz i end up keeping it stored with me, used for a short time, and i have to make value from it (frequent usage...)

Depends on how bad I want the fan, I would say around $100 give or take.. It's hard dealing with people on Craigslist.. They want to deal with local, and even offering a higher price and paying for the shipping, they think that you're a scam or crazy or something, or simply just don't want to be bothered with packing and shipping the fan..

I try to get bargains on used fans...but the most I'd pay is $200-$300, but it'd have to be for something I really wanted.
