I need to post on here more often! Here is a recent find. This old GEV ceiling fan. Sans blades unfortunately. Cast iron spinner motor, J-hook mount with bell canopy, variable speed with the "cardboard box" rheostat control which works perfectly. The fan has some finish imperfections though, it has black tarnish areas on the bottom part of the housing, but it still looks great and it cleaned up well. one of the original brackets were mangled when I got the fan I got it mostly straight, but when I tried to bend into alignment it snapped. I am going back this weekend and hopefully I can find a good set of blades for it. Here are some pics of the fan: Here it is sitting on the shelf. you can see how bad that bracket was when I found it. I paid $20 for it BTW Here it is after I got it home: Here it is after I gave it a cleaning: And here it is hung: some top shots: The info tag on the fan: I had to change out the pull switch for the fan since the way it was hooked up no power seemed to be going to the light, so I put a 3 way switch on it and now this fan operates like a SQ Casablanca. A video is uploading so I will post it here once it has uploaded.

Matt?! Nice to see you on here. That's a SUPER cool GE-vent fan you got there; looks great with the blades and light kit selection. Looks like it came straight out of the 80s...
