there's a thread for your collection and your latest portable fans. but what if you spotted a fan, but didn't acquire it, or isn't yours or belongs to a certain place?
well, post your latest fan sightings here (acquisitions to the "Your latest Portable fans" thread, and collections to the "Your collection" thread)
here's today's sightings:
in the upstairs apartment, there's TWO Panasonic (real-deal) portables. One is a pedestal model, the other, a desk fan model. the desk fan model's original blade broke, as the russians that lived upstairs were being stupidly drunk. however, that place is basically empty, just the fans, beds, some furniture. Fortunately, the landlord/owner's husband decided to keep the two fans in rental usage, so he just slapped in a replacement blade (at the russian guy's expense) to the desk fan.
as far as he told me, he bought both panasonics at Corona Brothers (now defunct), around the early 1980's and he still owns both fans.

The first one is from 1983. It also came in Blue. I have the Blue 12-inch ones (see it at the My collection thread). The second one is from 1984. it's a F-1608C.
